Hey, I am Zhiyuan Jiang and welcome to my page.

I am a Master's student majoring in Economics at Duke University, living in beautiful Durham, North Carolina.

I will graduate in May 2023, and now, I am actively looking for data analysis, data science, business analysis, or other related positions.

🏫Personal Background

Born and raised in China, I lived and educated in both United State and Australia.
Being able to live in multiple different countries and cities forged my adaptability and flexibility.

My academic interest covered broad topics including finance, economics, and statistics.
Before joining Duke, I obtained a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours degree from Monash Univesity, majoring in Econometrics and Finance.

Statisical Modeling

I enjoy building statistical models using R and Python
I also has experience using Stata.

My go to selection of Data Viz tool is ggplot2, but I am also familiar with using matplotlib, seaborn and Tableau.

I was fascinated by the power of Machine Learning algorithms, and I am familiar with using Tidymodel, caret, glmnet, and scikt-learn packages/libraries.

My current project at work is an interactive map for top US high Schools, and I expected it to be shipped soon.

Equity Analysis and Financial Modeling

I have experience in conducting equity analysis research and am cable of writing in-depth analysis reports independently in the field of e-commerce and market overview.

Besides, I am familiar with financial and risk models including:

  • CAPM model
  • VaR model
  • Black-Scholes model.

Programming

I am learning programming in Java.
I had finished courses about data Object Oriented Programming and still learning Data Structure and Algorithms.
